LINEAR EXPANSION APPARATUS

Comprise of a 50 cm metal rod,4.5 mm in diameter and the apparatus is fitted with a heavy base with an adjusting screw at one end and a micrometer screw at the other end for readings to 0.01 mm resolution.

Enclosed in a metal tube with three tubules for steam inlet, outlet, and thermometer.

The metal rod to be investigated is supported in the steam jacket by detachable rubber bungs situated at each end of the tube.
